SigEp was founded at the University of Richmond on November 1, 1901 on the Cardinal Principles of Virtue, Diligence, and Brotherly Love.
The fraternity's focus is the Balanced Man ideal of Sound Mind and Sound Body. The Balanced Man Program is a no-pledging, four year experience focused on scholarship, leadership, and life skills.
